The Teshome’s Family Farm Maternity Session

I was honored enough to photograph Casi + Ish's wedding a couple years ago, and she wanted to stop in at her dad's farm to take some of their wedding day photos. Fast forward and they wanted to take their maternity photos on the same property. This place is such a dream! The most beautiful, old white barn, and fields full of cozy trees and tall, gold grass. Eastern Washington landscape never fails to amaze me. I love these two so much, and am so excited for the arrival of their sweet baby girl, Violet!

Meeting Baby E. At The Lake

I spent the perfect summer morning at the Spry's lake home photographing their new daughter, Emerson. Any view in Idaho gives me all the feels, so I was so excited to get out of town (baby-free, no offense Halle), for a couple hours of driving, eating my pre-packed PB&J (which I really love), and taking photos of a brand-new babe! Emerson was camera ready when I arrived, and stayed awake the entire session! We took full advantage and brought her down to the water, used the basket, layed on the bed – she was all about it. I met Tricia at the hospital we both used to work at, and a couple years later we both moved near the same area! I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to take their maternity photos, and then again once the baby arrived. As you can see, they’re 3 peas in a pod, which is exactly what they call baby Emmy, “pea pod”.

A Summer Evening With The Renshaw Family

Desiree has become a close family friend of ours, and I've been fortunate enough to be able to watch and document her family grow. She is one of Spokane’s most amazing realtors, and I envy her drive as a boss babe and mama! When she reached out about a summer session, I of course jumped all over it. I loved her idea of bringing the red wagon along, since it’s one of the boys’ favorite activities. Plus, it can hold all the things – bonus. The shoot also wasn’t complete without their first baby, Ella. We spent the golden hour soaking in all the pretty light, all while trying to entertain 2 boys under 2. May have needed some Elmo and baby shark breaks, but by the end of it, we all called it a success.

    Celebrating The Mize Family Build

Shaleesa is the owner of Pacific Design Company is Spokane, and she and her family are finally building their dream home on this gorgeous piece of property. I was honored to be able to see the bones of their new build and have the privilege to document this special time. Finn loved running through the rooms and showing me all the secret hiding spots, and educating me where everything would belong once the walls were up. I met Shaleesa just after we bought her first home, and I was struggling to find the right paint color for our exterior – it has a white roof! And not like a cute, Joanna Gaines white roof. After buying too many paint samples, I found Pacific Design Co. on Instagram and reached out. Thank Jesus for Shaleesa and her brilliant mind – she stood outside with my for well over an hour, humoring all my thoughts, and bringing lots of her own too. I finally got to talk to someone who understood what I was thinking – Robert was starting to think I was going crazy. Needless to say, we found a color and I still love it!
