I’m married to my stud of a husband/home-remodeler/hiking guide/Netflix-binge-partner. I’ve known Robert since childhood, but “re-met” after I moved home from my dietetic internship in Pittsburgh. He swooned me with his witty humor and holey Carhartt pants, but most importantly his selfless heart. We have a daughter, Halle, (she is wildly smart, and has a deep love for Justin Beiber), and a newborn son, Emmett, (who is already giving us a run for our money).
Becoming a photographer was something I’d felt called to for some time. My love for photography began around 4th grade, when I found myself taking incessant photos of flowers, my cat, and my youngest brother, Jake. I took a couple classes in high school, which I loved, did a little in college, but eventually put in on the backburner until I met Robert. I’m so thankful for the extra shove he gave me to go after it, because I’ve become incredibly passionate about it. Robert often joins me for weddings as my second photographer, and adventuring this together has been a gift in itself.
I still practice dietetics part-time, and my desire for connection continues to remain my common denominator for both nutrition and photography. People often ask me about how I like being a photographer – my response is always, how could I not love this? I get to be a part of some of the best days of people’s lives, what an incredible honor. It makes my heart full to meet new people, to learn their story, and to create relationship. It is a privilege to document the unfolding of a love story, in any form, because every story is beautiful and worthy of celebration. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, and for considering me to witness part of your story.
